TRIAD IDOL
In 2006, TechTriad worked with Community Theatre of Greensboro on a fundraising effort called “Triad Idol.” A multi-county singing competition for children and adults, Triad Idol was a community talent show that began all over the Triad with auditions in malls, public areas, and donated spaces. After several rounds, there was a finale and a winner was announced in each category. Entrants paid a small fee and also paid to vote.
A lot of hard work by CTG staff and volunteers put the fun back in fundraiser. It was supported by a TechTriad website that remained online until the fundraiser ended several years later.
