After Gateway’s Mission

After Gateway is a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for adults with multiple and/or severe developmental disabilities.

Our day health program is certified through the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Aging as a specialized care provider for developmental disabilities. Our hours of operation are Monday – Friday, 8:00a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

After Gateway’s program is endorsed by Sandhills Center as an Innovations provider for Individual Day Supports, Group Day Supports, and Respite, Non-institutional; and as a provider of IRPS Day Supports.

After Gateway offers limited medical services and treatments under the direction of a registered nurse but only with a physician’s order. After Gateway does not offer rehabilitative services.

CARF International has accredited After Gateway for its adult day services for a period of three years. This is the highest level of accreditation that can be awarded to an organization.
